Block Party to support LA-MAS
September 20, 2016
Block Party is the second annual fundraiser for LA-Más, a non-profit urban design organization that helps lower-income and underserved communities shape their future through policy and architecture. You may remember that we partnered with LA-Más on Hollywood Pop!, our pop-up park located at Selma and Ivar.
Block Party will take place on Thursday, September 29, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the new home of LA-Más at 3051 N. Coolidge Ave. in Frogtown. There will be eats from Frogtown neighbors, beer by Brewjeria Company, and music by DJ Trent. The event will feature a silent auction featuring local goods from Frogtown artists and businesses, and will honor a few L.A. based leaders for their work in pioneering impactful projects.
- Gaby Medina, Field Deputy | Council District 15
- Tom De Simone, CEO | Genesis LA
- Leonardo Bravo, Founder | Big City Forum
- WHH Foundation & The Next Generation Committee
- Norman Millar, Dean | Woodbury University (posthumous)
Your support of the event would ensure that the work done by LA-Más continues to help communities shape their future while promoting equitable and self-directed growth. If you’re new to their work, check out their last annual report.
