Chocolate Bar, a Cozy New Pastry Café at Hollywood & Vine
October 18, 2016
Tucked into the little space next to the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre is a quaint little coffee shop perfect for sipping, eating and lounging. All their pastries are made in-house, so you know that Chocolate Bar is ultimately a neighborhood spot.
Step up to the counter and order up a cappuccino — even a bruleed cappuccino, at that — and one of their housemade macarons or even a slice of cookie dough cheesecake. For lunchtime, they even have a selection of delicious sandwiches available. They also sell empanadas to further satisfy your savory tooth.
For dessert, they also have a variety of gelato flavors, so it’s also a great place to stop by before you head home. Specialty drinks include an affogato (gelato topped with espresso) and matcha latte. You can always add an extra shot for $0.80.
The clincher is that Wi-Fi is free for customers, so should you need to get some work done, you have your variety of seating areas, as well. There’s a cozy little upstairs balcony with bean bags and more tables, so no one will even know you’re there.
Chocolate Bar is a welcome addition to the big marquees and already vast array of dining options available on Vine Street. It’s the perfect place to start or end your day, or even get some work done.
