Healthier Heroes event at Bardot to benefit homeless veterans
September 20, 2016
On Saturday, September 24, join Healthier Heroes and VIBES365 for a night of musical excellence to raise funds to provide desperately needed nutrition and support for homeless and at-risk veterans living in Los Angeles. The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Bardot, 1737 Vine Street.
Proceeds from this event will go towards superfoods and supplies that will be distributed during Healthier Heroes day of giving; Veterans Day weekend, Saturday, November 12, 2016.
Tickets are available here. All tickets are general admission, and the different price tiers create the opportunity to contribute at a level you want to give. Every $10 donated purchases the nutritional equivalent of 150 servings of nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables, as well as other healthy foods and supplies to help the veterans in need on the streets of Los Angeles.
For volunteer opportunities, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are an estimated 4,016 homeless veterans currently living in LA County, and 2,728 homeless veterans in the City of Los Angeles. There are 172 unsheltered homeless vets walking around the streets of Hollywood. Some of these vets have housing, but they live in a world of food insecurity; a state of being without reliable access to affordable nutrition.
