  • Ending Youth Homelessness: A Benefit for My Friend’s Place will be on Thursday, October 16 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at The Taglyan Complex, 1201 Vine Street.  It will be an evening of celebration and community, with drinks and appetizers followed by a program honoring the champions who make possible the life-changing work of My Friend’s Place.  The highlight of the evening will be a special Cirque du Monde showcase, highlighting MFP’s social circus programs, supported by Cirque du Soleil.  For tickets or more information, click here.
  • The Record Parlour, 6408 Selma Ave., will be giving records away free – yes, free – during two upcoming events on October 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and October 23 from noon until 3:00 p.m.  They are receiving an estate delivery of over 15,000 records and needed to make some room, so they are simply giving away records as a thank you to their friends and customers.  There will be a limit of 25 per person to keep things fair and fun.
