March For Justice to Close Sunset Blvd

This Friday, Sunset Boulevard will be closed throughout Hollywood for the Armenian Genocide March for Justice. This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The March for Justice is the largest in the series of events organized by the Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee Western USA.
The March will begin at the corner of Western Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in Little Armenia at 10:00 a.m. Participants will march for 6 miles from Little Armenia to the Turkish Consulate in the Wilshire District to protest the Turkish government’s continued denial of the Armenian Genocide. The March will conclude with a protest at the Turkish Consulate at 6300 Wilshire Boulevard.
The street closures will begin at 6:00 a.m. and end around 3:30 p.m. Streets along the march route will be subject to rolling closures, beginning at Sunset Blvd. and Western Ave., heading westbound on Sunset Blvd., turning southbound at LaBrea Ave., westbound at Wilshire Blvd., ending at 6300 Wilshire Blvd. An estimated crowd of 50,000 is expected to participate.
